Many of us have seen the professionals riding their trials bikes over marked sections wondering how they do it without putting their feet down. Many years of practice is required to get to their level but at Muddy Wheels we offer the opportunity to try your hand at motorcycle trials and our trials bikes are suitable for all, even those who have never ridden a motorbike before. There is no doubt that Trials riding is great fun, it challenges the rider both physically and mentally but once you have learned how to ride the off road trials bikes, you will have a 20+ acres of woodland to ride around, from logs and tree trunks, to gullies and routes through the river, you will find so many opportunities to improve your riding skills.

We have the use of 20+ acres of woodland near Hartland in North Devon. John and Brenda Luckett (the land owners), have held trials events at this location for many years, as a result there are plenty of clearly marked areas to ride in, over and around, in fact there is so much to try, you will find your time with us flies by.

We currently have a fleet of seven Trials bikes made by Gas Gas and Sherco, they range from 80cc to 200cc. We find that these bikes offer plenty of power for all levels of rider, customers are always impressed at what these bikes can do.

2.5 hour = £50 per rider (10am-12:30pm or 1:30pm-4pm)
Full day = £95 per rider (10am-4pm which inlcudes lunch)

Prices are per rider (no matter the age) and include the Trials bike, safety clothing and exclusive use of the woodland. To participate, a motorcycle licence is not required. Groups are kept small as it offers a better experience for those taking part, it also enables us to give more attention to individuals requiring that bit more tuition.

Dicounts are available to groups of 3 or more riders!

Minimum age is 13 years, as the rider needs to be able to ride our smallest bike (80cc geared Sherco), we can consider younger ages but please call us first, as we will need to ask a few questions first before accepting a younger rider.

Booking is essential and to avoid disappointment, please be aware that weekends book up faster than weekdays. Last minute enquiries are very welcome, though they will be subject to availability of bikes.
If you have never ridden a motorcycle before, do let us know upon booking. We will then make sure that any other riders within your group are of similar ability. A 50% non refundable deposit will be required when booking to secure your place.
